The harsh African sun can be detrimental to our skin – especially here in Durban, but thankfully we can always rely on the natural healing powers of turmeric! The star player in this all-natural aftersun face mask recipe will add a natural glow whilst reducing pigmentation and tan. Combined with chickpea (gram/besan) flour it also works as a natural scrub for exfoliating and removing dead cells. Whilst the milk and rose water help sooth and cool hot skin.
Ingredients in bold available at The Spice Emporium.
2 tbs chickpea flour
¼ tsp pure turmeric powder
1 tbs milk
1 tbs pure rose water, chilled
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
