The perfect snack to take along on a hike for that energy boost! While the internet is flooded with different variations of date balls, these Chocolate Energy Bites are completely free of processed sugar, has some superfood ingredients as well as healthy fats.
Ingredients

3/4 cup sunflower seeds
130g packed dates
3 tbsp cacao powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
2 cardamom pods, seeded and ground
A pinch of nutmeg powder
A pinch of salt
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp coconut oil
Method
- Blitz the sunflower seeds in a food processor until it resembles a course meal.
- Add in all the other ingredients and process until the date mixture forms a dough.
- Rolls into small balls and then coat in cacao (optional).
- Store in the fridge.
